Hart and Huntington Off Road Shakes Off The Struggle and Breaks Loose With A Super Effort

The 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series has been nothing less than a wild and thrilling ride for fans and participants alike. As Rounds 13 & 14 fade away, the hard core brash-against-brawn motorsport has certainly left its mark on Las Vegas and the off road community, as a weekend not soon forgotten.

A factoring element to the weekends racing, were the winter-like conditions which dumped some rain on Friday night. The forecast called for more storming and showers but it all seemed to hold off through the weekend. On both days, the fans braved the chilly temperatures filling the grand stands and were treated to some of the most exciting short course racing action all year. The drivers and race teams left nothing on the table, going all out to position themselves ahead of their peers as the season ticks down.

Premiere Motorsports Group has proved to be one of the most committed teams in the Lucas Oil Off Road Paddock. There are no more finer examples than the UTV program of Ryan Beat. Just about the fastest pilot in short source racing, Beat drives the lightning quick #851 Hart and Huntington Modified UTV. If you are on the track with Beat you are either in his dust or about to be passed. That is until some pestoring minor malfunctions or a hard car to car impact leaves Ryan with a pair of devastating DNF on the weekend.

Ryan Beat would start Saturday’s main from 6th place and like normal would soon move through the field, stretch out an impressive cushion, and go onto lead every lap to the competition caution. Going into Turn #1 on the restart the UTV machines throttle cable would let go leaving Beat stranded and robbing him of an impending victory.

Sunday would reveal even harsher circumstances with first lap first turn chaos crippling Beat’s machine and relinquish yet another disappointing DNF. However, Ryan would have one last opportunity to show the crowds why he is a serious threat at the Lucas Oil Off Road Series.

Jason Ellis was unable to show for Sunday’s Round 14 and with the approval of LOORRS Race Officials, Premiere Motorsports Group offered Ryan Beat to display the Dethrone Colors during the SuperLite event.

Here is what Ryan had to say about his Super Effort; “I was trying to be cautious at first,” Ryan Beat claimed as he described his first race in the #89 Dethrone SuperLite. “I did not want to hurt or damage the truck. I had never been in the truck before and I spun out the first lap, so there was some quick adapting that needed to happen. The biggest challenge was to figure out how to properly shift the vehicle for maximum performance and to figure out the driving dynamics of the SuperLite. This little truck just drives and reacts totally different than just about everything else I have ever driven.  Once I felt comfortable, I was able to mash the gas on and really go for it. It is too bad that there was not just another lap left or I would have put the #89 Dethrone MAV TV SuperLite up on the box. I am grateful for Premiere Motorsports Group providing the opportunity to sub in for Jason Ellis.”

With all of the carnage and bang up racing going on out this year, the Premiere Motorsports Trophy Kart Squad put their heads together aiming the stradegy for a JR-2 Championship. Chad Graham was quick all weekend in the Hart and Huntington MAV TV JR-2 Trophy Kart and is pushing the division with consistent finishes.

For Sunday’s JR-2 event, Myles Cheek would take the win over Chad Graham who puts forth another great race making his closest competitors really work for it. In the end he scored a beautiful Las Vegas Edition 2nd place Trophy with Parker Porter taking his first podium since recovering after a serious injury in 2010.

These consistent podiums for Cheek means that he is still leading the title fight over Graham is the only other JR-2 Driver in range of the championship. Heading into Firebird, Myles (640) enjoys a 24 point cushion over Graham (616).
